Propaganda posters actively promoted the idea of friendship and cooperation between the USSR and the PRC. They depicted meetings between the leaders of the two countries, joint events, and the heroic feats of Soviet and Chinese people to establish and strengthen the alliance.
The widespread use of propaganda posters was characteristic of two powerful countries—the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) and the People's Republic of China (PRC). Both of these nations, as socialist states during certain historical periods of their development, actively used propaganda posters for the purposes of mobilizing and controlling the masses.
