Who is against the Soviets. 1919

This 1919 poster by D. Moor titled «Кто против Советов» shows four caricatured opponents of the new Soviet power marching in a tight row, including a decorated officer, a plump capitalist in a white suit, a bearded priest and a wealthy peasant. The figures are grouped closely together to suggest that all these different classes share a common hostility to the Soviets. Along the right border runs the main text «Кто против Советов», Who is against the Soviets, which directly asks the viewer to identify these enemies. Behind the group hangs a black banner with the slogan «Долой Советы», Down with the Soviets, exposing their political goal and linking them visually under one dark field. The simplified background and strong outlines focus attention on the characters and turn them into a clear warning image of the forces that stand against the revolution.
