Time-tested over decades of use by the hardy Russians to withstand their harsh winters. Made in Russia from the highest quality locally manufactured materials only! Great and useful gift for Christmas!
This elegant French-language poster was created for the Festival Théâtral de Moscou, held from September 1–10, 1934. Its modernist design cleverly merges architecture and music: the grand façade of the Bolshoi Theatre is depicted as if it were rising out of a giant piano keyboard, with a conductor in the foreground orchestrating the performance.
The composition reflects the international cultural exchange of the 1930s, when Moscow sought to present itself as a world center for the performing arts. With its bold red background, striking contrasts, and streamlined typography, the poster stands as a fine example of interwar European graphic design and Soviet cultural promotion.
