CCCP is our Motherland 1982

This original 1982 Soviet poster proudly declares: “СССР – наша Родина” (“CCCP is our Motherland”). Issued for a republican exhibition dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the formation of the USSR, the poster was organized by the Ministry of Culture of the GSSR, the Union of Artists of the GSSR, and the State Art Gallery of the GSSR. The exhibition was held at the State Art Gallery of Georgia, showcasing works that celebrated Soviet achievements and loyalty to the homeland.

Designed during the late Cold War, the poster reflects the visual language of the era: bold, direct, and unmistakably patriotic. It portrays the Soviet Union not just as a country, but as the collective motherland of all its citizens – a powerful symbol of unity, pride, and ideological strength.
