October: Ten Days That Shook the World, Октябрь: Десять дней, которые потрясли мир, is a 1928 Soviet silent propaganda film directed by Sergei Eisenstein and Grigori Aleksandrov. Commissioned to mark the tenth anniversary of the 1917 October Revolution, it presents a dramatized, celebratory account of the events. Originally released in the Soviet Union under the title October, it was later re-edited and distributed internationally as Ten Days That Shook the World, after John Reed’s famous 1919 book on the Revolution.
